Optimizing the planning of liquid bulk vessels

The Port of Antwerp is a busy hub for liquid bulk vessels, with over 1000 such ships passing through every year. In order to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading operations at the port, a new platform was designed, resulting in a 75% increase in efficiency.

Context

As the liquid bulk industry at the Port of Antwerp continues to grow, the demand for increased throughput is putting pressure on the limited amount of space at the port. To address this issue, a new platform called Qronoport was developed to improve communication and coordination among the various parties involved in these operations. This platform allows for safe and transparent planning, helping to optimize the current way of working at the port.

One shared planning tool
